The Lashburn Town & Country Golf Club is committed to providing opportunities for youth to learn the game of golf and build confidence on the course.

The golf club offers free junior golf lessons, but they wanted to do more. That’s when they reached out to SaskWater looking for support to host an affordable golf tournament for youth golfers from the community and surrounding areas.

We were happy to provide them with $1,000, to recognize their efforts and enable them to hold the first ever Juniors Tournament on August 28, 2023.

“It was amazing,” said Kara Vallier, Clubhouse Manager. “The smiles on the faces of our youth said it all. They had the course for the whole day and were able to take their time and learn a lot about golf course etiquette.”

“We had 35 kids turn out, and have had nothing but positive feedback from it,” added Vallier. “It was a huge success, and we cannot wait to start planning the Juniors Tournament for next year!”
