  • Gravelbourg Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory (PDWA)

    May 01, 2020

Attention:       Gravelbourg Potable Water Supply Customers

Please be advised that due to the higher than normal organic loads in the source water from Thomson Lake the Water Security Agency (WSA) has issued a Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory for the Gravelbourg water treatment plant. While there has not been any indication of bacterial issues with the water, there is a remote potential for contamination of the water due to the high organic loads currently in the source water requiring the WSA to issue a PDWA.

As the production capacity of the plant is currently reduced due to the high organic loads, residents of Gravelbourg are asked to conserve water wherever possible during this period.

This PDWA will remain in effect until the organic loads in the source water return to normal levels and the water treatment plant can return to regular operations.
