SaskWater has a strong working relationship with the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies – Saskatchewan (ACEC-SK) which keeps us connected to its members and ensures we are effectively making use of private sector resources. SaskWater meets regularly with ACEC to collaborate in many areas including the review of water and wastewater technology and exchanges of information, experience and best practices. SaskWater also participates in broader discussion forums involving ACEC, consultants, operators and regulators, including Ministry of Environment and the Water Security Agency, where they meet to discuss common interests and issues that impact the entire water and wastewater industry.

SaskWater also participates in regular meetings of the Saskatchewan Construction Panel, which brings together government agencies and private industry representatives for a regular dialogue on industry concerns and potential opportunities.

SaskWater maintains a valuable partnership with the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association or SUMA. SaskWater is a diamond sponsor of the association’s Annual Convention and sponsors the keynote address. SaskWater has also been a sponsor and participant in its regional meetings. This sponsorship allows SaskWater to:

• enhance relationships with existing municipal customers and create new partnerships with customers who could benefit from SaskWater’s expertise.
• promote the ways SaskWater can help build healthy and vibrant communities through safe and reliable water and wastewater services in the province.
• share our expertise and experience in water and wastewater management and infrastructure.
• collaborate with community leaders in providing safe, quality water products and services that will meet the long-term needs of Saskatchewan municipalities

SaskWater maintains similar relationships with important groups like Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities, Saskatchewan Association of Rural Water Pipelines, Urban Municipal Administrators Association of Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Water and Wastewater Association, and Western Canada Water. SaskWater often attends and supports conferences for these organizations, which strengthens our connections to existing and potential customers and keeps our employees current on the water and wastewater trends and new developments in the industry.
