Surface Water Source – Lakes, Rivers, etc.
Our certified operators supervise or perform the following functions with respect to source water pump stations.
- Inspect intake and wet well as required
- Clean wet well annually and intake as required
- Maintain Motor and Pumps:
- Monitor suction and discharge pressure of pumps
- Monitor bearing and motor temperature
- Monitor packing leakage and adjust as required
- Monitor pump output/flow, discharge pressure and hours of operation
- Monitor impeller condition, bearing, seals and coupler alignment
- Grease bearings – as per manufacturers recommendation
- Oil lubricated bearings – change oil as per manufacturers’ recommendation
- Inspect and operate pump controls, motors and electrical equipment
- Inspect electrical supply system
- Monitor vibration of pumps (predictive maintenance vibration analysis)
- Pigging/swabbing and disinfecting of raw water pipeline.
