Emergency Leak Repair (SPWS-E/NE)

June 11, 2012


Attention: Saskatoon East & North East Potable Water Supply (SPWS-E/NE) Customers:

SaskWater potable water customers supplied via connections along Highways 5 & 41 are advised that an emergency leak repair has been scheduled on the SPWS-NE supply line that will affect customers in both areas.

The leak repair will be performed on Tuesday June 12th between 9:30am to 6:00pm and customers will experience the following service levels during the repair period:

- SaskWater customers supplied via connections along Highways 5 and 41 will experience a complete interruption of service at approximately 10:00 am Tuesday morning. Upon commencement of the repair work, a Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory (PDWA) will be issued on these sections of pipeline.

This PDWA will remain in effect until the follow-up sampling protocol has been completed confirming that the quality of the water was not adversely affected during the construction work. SaskWater will once again notify its affected customers when the PDWA is lifted. The associated PDWA can be viewed here.
